The Brecon Women’s Festival Art Exhibition was a great celebration of the empowerment of women in the country. The exhibit showcased a lot of paintings from different women about women around their home and garden. Some of the works that were shown in the exhibit came from artists like Hilda Berham, Emma Bevan and many more. The exhibit was held in the cafe all from February 27 to March 17. It showed an amazing display of artworks that represented how each strong woman viewed themselves and the world.  With a number of supporters who came that day, we were happy to spread awareness of the women’s movement through this exhibit. For those who watched the exhibit, a glass of wine was served to each of them to further help them enjoy the entire ambiance of the place. The Voice of the Child Exhibition is an event that showcases some of the works of local children who participated in the workshop which was held by The Hours Cafe & Bookshop. These are works of children who have experienced child abuse and became a way for them to express their feelings through art.
